worth a visit.  As the childhood
home of the Queen Mother, it displays many interesting personal photographs
and ephemera of the Royal Family. Tours are conducted regularly throughout
the day and visitors will be touched by the lack of barrier rope and freedom
to closely appreciate everything the castle offers. The grounds are equally

KIRRIEMUIR The home of J M Barrie
- author of the great book "Peter Pan"
- can be found in Brechin Road, and is maintained
by the National Trust for Scotland. There is also

GLEN ISLA Just one of the enchanting
Angus glens, lying just to the North of the hotel.
Well worth a drive around, or perhaps following
the route of 'The Country Connection' a cottage
industry collective including crafts, a pottery

lies on the border of Perthshire and Angus.
On the banks of the silvery River Tay, in the
